One year after the ‘Food For Thought’ project launched at South West College all five partners came together for our second transnational meeting hosted by St Angela’s College, Sligo. Over the two days of meetings, partners reviewed the work completed during the first year of the project. Partners recognised the support of People 1st who led during the research stage of the project.
Looking to the months ahead, the next steps of curriculum development were agreed upon and plans put in place to deliver the learning resources on schedule. The next stage of our project will be led by Alexandre Dumas College from Strasbourg, France who will oversee the work being undertaken and provide curriculum development support where required.
On day two St Angela’s organised a visit to meet the owner behind the new tourist interest known as the ‘Sligo Oyster Experience’. Here partners learnt about the oyster trade on the West coast of Ireland, how oysters are harvested and got a chance to taste fresh oysters for the full experience.
The next partner meeting is to be hosted by The Workforce Development Trust (People 1st International) in London in May 2019.
