St. Angela’s College, Sligo
St. Angela’s College, Sligo, is a provider of third level education and research in the North West of Ireland. The College has a well-deserved reputation for delivering high quality programmes across the academic schools of Home Economics, Education, and Nursing, Health Sciences and Disability Studies. In 2003 the Irish Government’s named St. Angela’s College, Sligo the sole provider of Home Economics VET and Teacher Education in Ireland and this has resulted in a dramatic increase in student numbers in the past five years. Current student numbers attending the College are approximately 1,600.
South West College
South West College is one of the largest vocational and technical Colleges in the United Kingdom employing over 900 staff, servicing some 22,000 full-time and part-time learners, with an annual turnover of £42million. The College is rurally located in the western region of Northern Ireland, and offers modern technical, vocational and social based curriculum to support the local and regional economy. The College has a strong reputation across the United Kingdom and beyond for excellence in service delivery, consistency of performance and a commitment to continuous improvement. In April 2014, the College was formally inspected and was awarded a ‘Grade 1 – Outstanding’, placing it as the only regional College in Northern Ireland to be awarded this accolade and one of only a few in the UK.
People 1st
People 1st is the sector workforce development expert for the tourism and visitor economy in the UK. The organisation works to raise the productivity and professionalism of the tourism and visitor economy sector by helping employers tackle skills and recruitment needs. People 1st’s role is strategic, identifying industry needs, developing solutions where required in partnership with government and the education and training system to shape a skills system driven by employer demand.
Lycée Alexandre Dumas
The Hospitality and Catering College Alexandre Dumas, located in the Euro-metropole of Strasbourg, a bordering city, is the biggest hospitality school in France and among the most reputed ones. There are approx180 members of staff: 5 members of the senior management board, 35 administrative staff and 140 teachers. Every year, the College welcomes 1,100 students from basic training NVQ2 to further or higher education NVQ5. Through the support of Erasmus+ We send 120 students to work placements or internships abroad every year, that is one in ten.
